Anticipation

Well, I'm back.

5 months and 25 days later.

Now that exams have finished, and graduation is done, I just thought I'd finally, finally quit procrastinating long enough to get in a blog post. So here it is. A long overdue momento of the strange and wonderful shenanigans I've been up to for the last past half-year. A final word before the fruits of four years of pain and suffering are revealed. To think, this time tomorrow, I'll know.

It's difficult not to dwell on D-day, a.k.a. official IB results day, but I try to keep my mind occupied.

Since I've checked in last, I've:
- come to terms with that horrible rejection
- sent my dad off to another country, possibly for good
- cut my 31 page CAS journal down to 10 pages
- survived a 3-hour History Paper 3 exam
- survived a 5-hour prom
- emceed an Athletic Banquet
- received my high school diploma
- retrieved a run-away job offer
- started blind-running again
- marathoned House M.D. and Downton Abbey
- gotten the best gift ever from a dear friend
- attempted to buy a Team Germany football jersey
- read more cheesy chick lit than I'll ever publicly admit
- made peace (or something like it) with a long-time enemy
and
- finally (finally!) cleaned the room. (Only to have it revert to post-Nagasaki state a couple of days after, but it's the attempt that counts, right?)

Life has been unexpected, but it has also been treating me pretty well. I think I can truly say that I'm content at the moment. And excited for everything to come. I anticipate:
- discovering how I did on those grueling exams tomorrow
- laughing along with the kids at work this summer
- seeing Hannah in-person for the first time in three years this August
- cheering for Germany during the semi-finals
- maybe actually getting that jersey
- enjoying a fancy restaurant during Summerlicious
- frosh week and university life come September
- getting a new email from my American penpal
and
- maybe (just maybe!) taking another shot at cleaning the room?

Wish me luck.

P.S. This time, there will be pictures.
