Of VPAC, Pottermore, and Communist Countries

Post started at: wait for it... wait for it... wait for it... exactly 11:11! (AM)

Alright. So before you go all raging bananas on me, I'd like to say that I had a perfectly valid reason for being MIA for the last almost-month. As well, I also have a perfectly valid reason prepared for why I will be MIA for the next almost-month. So don't fret, don't frown, just keep reading.

Let's see. The last you saw me, I was still rejoicing over the official end of virtual summer school, and of course, fantasizing about oddly shaped ice treats. Fast forward a month or so, and we'll get to the good stuff...

Primarily being:

a) The start of August, along with which the reign of terror was brought along. *cough* I mean, the City of ****** Summer Camp! At which I spend 7 hours a day with 30 loud, crazy, annoying, bratty, and ever so rarely, endearing little children. 

Meaning that by the end of the day (4PM), I'm so tired that I drop down dead upon arrival at the door of my house. 

b) The obsessive Neopet playing and email checking I do when I'm not being tortured by kids or sleeping on my welcome mat.

I've managed to become so good, I can make 20,000 NP in one day. Without cheating. No, it is not a colossal waste of time. There is plenty to learn from playing addictive flash games and gambling virtual hard-earned money. Like... hand-eye coordination! And not blinking! And... that gambling is never a wise choice...? 

Right. On a brighter note, I was very ecstatic to find out (after pressing F5 a couple trillion times and refreshing every 3 seconds) that I am part of the million early members who will be given entrance to J.K. Rowling's new website, Pottermore! And what better way to celebrate than to gloat about it to everyone who didn't get in reread the whole series? Smart, right? :D

In between all the frantic clicking, I also learned (to my utter delight this morning) that I am now part of my school's athletic council! Have no idea how I got in, especially after an interview where my mouth cramped from smiling so much. Definitely paid off though, as it eventually returned back to its original shape. My mouth, that is.

Finally, there's c). CNE Wheelchair Service Corps is what I'll be doing after the last week of summer camp fun (/sarcasm) with the kids next week. I'm looking forward to sitting in the chairs when I'm not supposed to, and getting sick form eating Belgian waffles during lunch break. It should be a very enjoyable three days.

And so, readers, that is what I've been doing. Making great use of my summer! Doing meaningful things such as being my own record 38 times on Tap Tap Glee, playing Taylor Swift songs on the piano, screaming at teaching my brother the flute, running everyday with my dad, entertaining family from the States...

And in between all that, studying for the SATs. (Or continuously bashing myself in the head for being so completely and totally retarded.) What have I learned so far? Uh. There are a heck of a lot of special triangles, the teacher who called me sanctimonious wasn't paying me a compliment, even if it sounds right, it may be wrong, and to extol is a good thing.

Ohoho. Last things last. Before I relieve your guilt-ridden misery from reading about my productive and superior summer (okay, not really ;), it is my duty to produce the valid reason as to why you should expect any posts until September. Late September.

*Cue haughty tone* That's because I'm going to Cuba! Nanananabooboo! *Blows raspberry, sticks tongue out, etc.* It's finally vacation time, after a long two months of WORK, WORK, WORK (and Neopets, but whatever)! I get back on the second of September, so don't be too surprised if you don't hear form me until then.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, suckers! I'll be on a white sandy beach, getting drunk on alcoholic Pina Coladas, and then getting thrown into jail for disorderly conduct.

Communist country, here I come!
