Huh. It's odd. I've been sitting here, staring at the screen for several long moments now, drawing a complete blank as to what to say, what to type. There was a time when words would flow effortlessly, but it's not like that.
School's over now, has been for exactly one week.

I'm convinced this is the devil's academic program. Either that, or a scam. I thought education was free in Canada. Well, I paid $20 for this not-so-great course. |
This summer is different. It's the first time that I'm staying at home, instead of vacationing with my family in another country, without a care in the world. I'm taking virtual school, Civics and Careers, because I took computer studies instead during the school year.
The stress of the final exams are over, and my final grades surprisingly exceeded my expectations. I'll be volunteering for various summer camps, as well a wheelchair service with scouts.

Deep in thought. |
Over the past month, I've found myself visiting this blog, reading and re-reading. Sometimes, in the middle of the most unexpected moments - folding laundry, washing a mango - I find inspiration. Just snippets, thoughts, interesting things to share. But every time, every single time, I forget, or simply don't get around to posting.
Well now that I'm here, I might as well say what I remember.

The ending is a tad disappointing, so I recommend attica's amazing fanfic-epilogue as the follow-up to soothingly wrap things up: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7114219/1/Never_Let_Me_Go

3) Along with a fellow fanfiction reader, I've created an account and will soon pursue some creative writing on there. I'm not releasing the information at this time, because experimenting with anonymity seems interesting.
Well, that's how I'm doing. How are your summers progressing? As planned? Or just taking it as it comes? I'd love to know. :)
The Hopping Grass
P.S. Harry Potter rant, as well as Hunger Games/Glee/City of Bones updates are coming up. Stay tuned! (I can just imagine a music teacher using that line on his students. ;)
Online careers and civics are taking up most of my summer time. However, time passes by so fast when your doing work. 2 assignments per day is fun, no?
ReplyDeleteIt's been two months since you have posted, sheesh. You need to live up to your 4000+ page views.
P.S. Have you read The Lord of the Rings? Tell me you did.
You reader,
2 Assignments? I get at least 3 a day, sometimes 4.
ReplyDeleteNope, haven't got round to it. Seen the movies though, and they're AMAZING.
Strategically leaving your identity hidden, eh?
Don't worry, I know who you are.. >:)
In response to number 3, do I know that fellow fanfiction reader? And are you still experimenting with anonymity?
ReplyDeleteYes, and yes. I'm sure that if you read what I wrote, you'd kill me. Or vomit. Not sure which one first. ;D
