I'm talking about the file compression format! Today, I was uploading my group's finished product for the culminating project on to Wikispaces. I ran into a sight problem, which was that you can only upload one file at a time. For our executable to work, however, certain files need to be kept in the same folder as the executable.
I didn't know what to do, you I asked the one person who I thought would have an idea (not you, Andres! :P). Mr. Arkin suggested that I create a zip file, which would compress all my documents into a single folder, allowing me to upload a large number of files at once. It was a fantastic idea, and a few clicks (more like the entire period) later, I was done! Yay!
After school, Randi, Hannah, and I went to Staples to pick up our laminated poster. They had placed an order on it yesterday, and we were hoping it would be quick pick-up, pay, and go, but fate seemed to have other ideas. The employees were extremely disorganized, not only not serving us when we stood under the pick-ups sign, but taking a while to find our print-out as well. They kept looking under R for our print-out, but it was filed by last name, located in W since our order was placed under Randi's name.
Once they finally found the poster, they even asked us if we had paid yet. If we had just said yes and walked out, nobody would have noticed. Of course, we did pay, because we have high morals and all...Actually, Randi had already told the lady that we hadn't paid, or else Hannah and I would have just took it and left.. :P
So. Now I feel strangely light, as if a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders. After handing in the poster tomorrow, French, Geography, and CS culminating projects are all finished. All that awaits are the exams... Time to study! Or read Hunger Games fanfic... Haha.
Thanks for tuning in today!
