Of Buffets and Receding Progress

*Groans*

I just got back from a buffet, and I'm feeling so full, I can't move! Some people can eat a LOT, and never gain weight (my mother), others barely eat and never seem to shed a pound (me).

Not that I mind. I mean, healthy eating habits are really important. As my old track coach used to say, Eat in moderation. It's never good to over-indulge yourself, or under-indulge. Unless we're talking about caramel popcorn. Or dark chocolate! Anyway, that's why I never last very long at all-you-can-eat buffets.

Sorry, I have no idea how today's post magically became all about food. I guess that the crème brûlée was so good, it just stuck in my head. Okay, so I've got some exciting news for you guys! I'm officially leaving for NYC tomorrow!

It's going to be approximately a nine-hour trip. Which means I may get there with time to spare to blog! Ohoho. You're not getting rid of me that easily. :) If I survive being stuck in a car with my younger brother for that long, I'll be sure to tell you all about it. Otherwise, you may never hear from me again. Ever.

Okay, so the daily goodies. Hm. I should call them a better name. Like... the "daily Turtles." I imagine that would be amusing to some people. Okay. Lo and behold...

Daily Turtles!

"Hey, what are you looking at?"
1) A whole list of my favourite New Age pianists/composers to check out. I've said it again and again, New Age music is calming and beautiful. You'll soon find that mainstream music is like a toddler's drawing compared to the Mona Lisa. And if you don't... please don't kill me for insulting your music! D;

Happy listening!

2) One of my favourite poems of all time, by whom I believe to be one of the best poets of all time. Retrieved 2010-12-22 from http://famouspoetsandpoems.com/poets/e__e__cummings/poems/14133

It takes a while to understand, but the feeling you get when you read it? Breathtaking.

Well, you've taken the daily dose of THG, so I guess I've got to let you go. e. e. cummings once said, "Nothing recedes like progress."

With that being said, I think I'll go take a nap.
