Are you ready for it?
Tomorrow's the long awaited P.D. day! Which is the equivalent of the P.A. day we had back in elementary school. Hm. Parents' Awful day had evolved into Parents' Doomsday. ;) How curious. Anyhow. I'm excited for tomorrow, because some old friends are getting together at my house for a little rendezvous. This weekend is going to be really busy, as I have a Midnight Madness Girl Guide Sleepover event, confirmation class, taekwondo, and volunteering at the Santa Claus Parade!
I'll have to somehow make time for the ... oh wait. I haven't told you about the assignment yet! What assignment? We got a new HTML assignment today, consisting of researching printers, and creating a web page on our findings. It's actually a pretty meaningful task, as many of us really don't kbnow much about the cost and functions of printers, even though we use them daily. I'm actually looking forward to this project, as it gives me a chance to show my knowledge of printers (yes, printers are a dinner conversation topic at my house), and also a chance to raise my CS mark! :)
Well. I don't have anything extremely interesting to say today, so I'll just work hard on this assignment, and continue on the last repetition assignment.

P.S. We learned a new way to complete our codes - by using control-enter! That will save tons of typing. I wonder who discovered this function (I heard it's a student in another class ...)
Wow you posted early, I got on the moment I arrived home after school, and you still beat me to the posting.
ReplyDeleteThe printer project is very fun. Hope you have fun! Good luck raising your mark!
OOOoooo you perfected your repetition assignment 12 eh? (I thought you said you fininshed 1/4 of of the substrings assignment.) Post your code.
Have a fantastic wonderful busy Parent doomsdayish (What else can I throw in here?) Shanty(Santa) weekend! Don't get toner all over yourself!

Make sure you upload your assignment by Sunday at the latest. Mr. Arkin might be locking it by 10pm Sunday like last time. Do not procrastinate. (Besides, I would like to see yours.)

Hey, this is probably not relevant at all, but the printers reminded me:
ReplyDeleteI recently replaced my toner, because it was getting really streaky [it looks much better now] and my mom actually let me dismantle the old one and examine it.
It was fun.
And not as dirty as you'd think, because I managed to keep all the toner in a plastic bag.
I still have it. I think, one day, when I actually have time on my hands (probably, like, after I graduate high school. Or university. Or maybe when I'm retired. Oh! That's a great idea! By that time, it'll be an ancient lump of "technology" and I can reassemble it and sell it on eBay - or whatever the future version of eBay is.) I'll tinker with it again.
Btw, get ready to listen to a lot of ranting about homework on Saturday. [COUGHCOUGHSCIENCEFAIRCOUGH] >:D
