Enervating Escarpment Experience

Ohhhhh. Ouch. My back is sore, my feet are sore, I'm just sore on a whole from the geography trip to the  Niagara escarpment. Other than having to wake up so early, I swear I was about to die by some unfortunate slip while climbing the steep path down to the raging currents of the river. I mean, it wasn't mandatory, but since I am Asian, and I had paid 20 bucks for the trip, I might as well get the full experience, right? Or so I thought. The full experience I had wanted so much was basically a self-sacrifice to the spirits of the river. Despite my injured left foot, I braved an extremely steep, slippery path, along small, moving rocks covered with slippery moss which were the only things that even resembled a path, and half-crawled half-stumbled to the bottom of the escarpment.

While the view was pretty great, I would just like to say that it was a very tiring journey. Don't even get me started on the climb back up to the top, where the bus was located. The only thing that made my day bearable was the constant companionship of my many good-humored friends, who each had funny anecdotes that kept me laughing the entire long bus ride there and back.

I had long forgotten about my complaints, until we got off the bus when we arrived back at the school. An acquaintance and I took the same bus to Birchmount, where we proceeded to wait in the freezing cold for the stupid 17 bus for half an hour. She was so loyal, considering her house is 5 minutes away from the bus stop, and she waited  with me out of undying friendship.

Anyways. I've safely gotten home, eaten a bar of chocolate, and am now proceeding to finish all the homework I missed today in my three other courses. Joy.

Tired, sore, and not-so-optimistic,
Grace
