Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...

Welcome message: If you agree today's class was stressful, put your hands up.

(Everybody in room raises hands)

Boy, was today's class hard or what! We were all a little tired as it was Monday back from the weekend, but I was looking forward to this class because Mr. Arkin was back, and he would be inspecting our progress today.

I had basically spent the entire weekend fumbling around and trying to figure out how html and css works, finally finishing my superpowers assignment. I was quite proud of myself, because not only did I complete the assignment part, I had also let my creative juices flow, and developed my website into a company website for my superpower (creating nightmares, hence the title Nightmares Inc. on the last blog post.)

This meant I took double to triple the time and created 4 separate html pages for the about us, products, contact us, and home page of my website. However, all the work was worth it, as now I feel more confident in creating the basic website structure.

In class however, Mr. Arkin seemed surprised that no websites were up yet. At this point, I began to feel frustrated with myself, as I thought I had gone above and beyond by completing the assignment, but we were expected to upload it too. However, it seemed that nobody else had uploaded websites either, and so we got a quick briefing on how to upload our sites using Filezilla, a FTP client.

As soon as we logged on to the client, we all quickly were rejected, because the maximum number of people aloud to be connected at each time was 5, and therefore the client was overloaded. I spent most of the period trying with no prevail to upload my superpower assignment, but not until the final 10 minutes did the message log give me access. And when I published my mirror, I was suddenly updated by a neighbor: we were supposed to be having to upload our INDEXES, just with a simple html template, and link to our blogs, also providing our wikispaces usernames.

At that point, my brain nearly exploded.

I had spent the entire period attempting to validate, edit, and publish to the web the WRONG DOCUMENT.

As I quickly attempted to publish my index, Mr. Arkin announced that we had roughly 2 minutes before the end of class.

I had just enough time to open Filezilla, connect to our host, and-Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg-get interrupted by the bell for the end of class.

And so, I had to do all the rest at home. Needless to say, I'm a bit peeved. My apologies if I didn't seem my good-humoured self today. But if you heard me angrily muttering under my breath at any point today, it was because of this.

Hopefully, tomorrow's class will go better. In the meantime, here's the daily special:

5 THINGS ON MY DESK:

1. A Barnes and Noble $50 Gift Card
2. A whistle.
3. A bag of lays chips.
4. A rosary.
5. A homemade toy lamb.

Over and out,

P.S. Tomorrow, I will be revealing this awesome program I discovered that helps SO MUCH with html. Trust me, wait until tomorrow, and come back to check it out. It'll be totally worth it.
