The Beginning Of The End

HI WORLD! HOW'S EVERYONE DOING?

(My cheerful exclamation echoes in the vast canyons of silence...)

Okay, okay. I may come across as a bit dramatic, and even eccentric to some who meet me. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

First off, introductions. While I've been called many things, including grass, graceface, braceface (I don't even have braces!), that Asian kid, Chris, Joyce and even "the annoying energetic bouncy girl" my real name is actually Grace.

I am Canadian, EH! And just to be clear, I do not live in an igloo, or eat whales, for all you clueless (AMERICAN) friends out there. :P I've just started high school, and literally I mean just, as today was the very FIRST DAY for me, hence the title. AHEM. "The beginning of the end." Why am I so worried you may ask? Well, this is because I am in what is known as an IB program, and rumours are, nobody gets out alive. :S JUST KIDDING!

Annnnyways. Enough with the busy talk. This blog is an assignment from our Computer Science teacher, who told us that we should keep a daily blog about our day-to-day experiences. Academic wise, anyways. Although there are a multitude of other topics I want to attack, I guess I will have to get to the part where I describe my first stay soon. As my teacher and fellow students will be reading this blog, I'll have to make sure I don't get to carried away with the rants I like to go on, but I hope you'll still find this enjoyable to read, and hopefully amusing too. :)

And without any further ado, I present to you:

GRACE'S EPIC LIST OF THE 10 MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF HER FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
(oh, I should mention now that I love to make lists, so please get used to it!)

1. I woke up at 6:30, courtesy of my very loud iPod alarm. I remember promptly falling off the side of my bed, and hitting the floor in a very painful position.

2. I had a very interesting conversation with my 7th grade brother, (who i will refer to as brother) in the car on the way to school. In French. About our summer. Tons of fun. Yep. Next!

3. I arrived at school way too early. At about...8:05. To give you a better idea, school started today at 10: 20. But no worries, I had tons of fun exploring. :)

4. First period was French. Cool teacher. Nice classmates. Favourite subject. Not that great of a locker assignment, *cough* my locker is...NOT that close to my homeroom. Oh well.

5. Moving from 1st floor to 2nd, I was faced with the reality of the tide of older, scarier, and erg...heavier students.

6. Computer science class! Where I got this...BORING, AND POINTLESS, AND wait...no...
FUN BLOGGING ASSIGNMENT! ;D *ahem, it's this blog*

7. see #5, but from the 2nd to 3rd floor. D;

8. Shocking moment when I realized that teachers, especially geography teachers could make jokes, and therefore ARE HUMAN! Just kidding. But still, a big relief.

9. When the music teacher told us he was a supply teacher. And I realized that he wasn't halfway during the period. OH, and a very funny picture of Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr, Bean) as the next Pope on his wall.

10. Getting lost on the bus on the way home. :) And getting yelled at by the TTC driver. TONS of fun.

And there you have it. This post is getting lengthy, and so I must bid you farewell. For now. And although nobody is following this blog right now, I do hope that I will have some enthusiastic readers soon. because it is lonely in here. (sobs)

Hoping for some readers,

Grace :)

  1. Will it give you a higher mark if we do?

  2. Nope. Unfortunately it's only the content that counts.

  3. Why am I not surprised at #10? But don't worry, Bobby took the bus in the wrong direction, and almost did it a second time. And you'll get used to it.
    I have yet to completely work out my commute. It appears that transferring twice, but taking Finch cuts down my time by about half an hour. Honestly, how is that possible? Is Steeles *that* slow?

    Oh, and I empathize with numbers 5 and 7. That will definitely take some getting used to. It wouldn't even be so bad if the school wasn't so ... crowded. Like, 135% capacity, CROWDED. :/

    :)

  4. I just finished reading your post. 12 portables? That's some serious overload. We only have 2, to my knowledge. *Gulp* 2. D;

    :)

  5. Lol, 2. Anyways, this was my first chance to check out your blog. I envy the teacher that let you do this. That is NOT fair. I want to be able to blog academically too. :( For now, I have to stick to recreational. Well, good luck on it!
