Just realized that I didn't give much of an introduction to these slew of seemingly random pictures that I've posted over the last seven days.
It is difficult, in retrospect, to document such an incredible experience, even if I had not procrastinated until getting home by which time my amazingly bad short-term memory had just about forgotten all the witty and amusing comments I could have made.
Still, I will say that my trip to Ottawa for Encounters with Canada, where I got to meet 145 teenagers so different yet strikingly similar to me from all over Canada, was definitely worthwhile.
From crazy pin-trading and 5:45 AM morning alarms, to 10 girls creeping on that good-looking kid from Alberta, I had a blast.
I pulled my first ever all-nighter, showed off some truly awkward dance moves, and took part in possibly the most heart-breaking farewell to my newest best friends from across the country.
And even if my horrible memory cannot recall specifics right now, that warm feeling in my heart as I take in my Facebook newfeed flooded with pictures of the week certainly speaks for itself.
P.S. The picture was not intended to evoke any connotations of the experience pertaining to trash. I just thought it was a snazzy trash can, so yeah. Heh.
