Long weekend was spent with Scouts at Trillium Ridge Sugarworks, a family-owned maple syrup farm. The lodge we stayed at had just about the coolest assortment of oddities I have ever seen, from a fully-functioning wood stove to quirky carvings and handmade tapestries everywhere. There was even a copy of the iconic Stephen Leacock novel: "Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town".
Best part was the cozy feel of the place, accentuated by the warmth of the blazing fire, and the fact that for once, I didn't have to camp outside in a tent.
