31. Jubilant Jubilee

Today, I had the absolute honour of volunteering at a once-in-a-lifetime event: the Diamond Jubilee Gala, a closing celebration of the monumental 60th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Commemorative medals were presented to distinguished Canadians that had made significant contributions to the community through hard work and ingenuity.

Having the opportunity to talk to so many inspirational people,  let alone just being present to witness such an incredible event is definitely something I thanked my lucky stars for.

When the magical evening was over, I stood on the stage of Roy Thompson Hall, looked out into the 2630 empty seats, and just basked in the feeling of accomplishment that seemed to reverberate through the music hall.

One day, I hope to stand on this stage again.
