The Planet of the Apes 1968 original is probably one of my favourite sci-fi films of all time. Watching it tonight with dad was thoroughly amusing, as his occupation (neuroscientist) and the treatment of non-human primates it necessitates made the role-reversal of man and ape all the more relatable.
My only hope is that we can put off the blowing up of Earth for a while longer. Until the end of my lifetime, at least.
