The Return of The Grass

Channelling The Lord of the Rings a bit there... one of my all time favourite fantasy books/movies. So this is a bit embarrassing. I wasn't gone for as long as I thought I'd be. Oh well! I'm here and typing now, so that's what counts. RIGHT? [imposing look] I thought so. :P

You gotta swim
Swim for your life
Swim for the music that saves you when you're not so sure you'll survive

It's PD day, aujourd'hui, and so I've had the entire day to slack off, laze around and--no. Actually, until now, I've working on the pile of math homework (200+) questions assigned for the weekend.

What, 200+ questions???

I KNOW, RIGHT? 200+ questions! Poor me. To be fair though, our teacher has to prepare us somehow for the Pascal math contest next Thursday. Being second semester students, we are already at a disadvantage, so the 200+ questions probably will help a lot in the long term. But for now, I get complaining rights. =.=

You gotta swim
Swim when it hurts
The whole world is watching
You haven't come this far
To fall off the earth

Otherwise, I'm pretty free this long weekend, with minimal science homework (thanks, AWESOME SCIENCE TEACHER!), studying for a minor gym test, and no volunteering. It's very much appreciated, especially in my sick state. I get sick what, once or twice a year? Let's just say I'm usually pretty healthy. But when I do get sick, it's terrible. With all my activities that cannot be cancelled, I simply don't have time to be sick!

So I've still been going to taekwondo, and participating in gym class everyday (to my credit, our team won the basketball tournament!). This weekend is a nice rest. I slept 13 hours last night, and I already feel better! ;D

Now that you've been plastered with a bunch of useless information about me, time for an interesting goodie. I'm sure we've all experienced 404 error messages on websites, stating 'This Page cannot be found", but some folks have gotten quite creative. Take a look:

I caught a tidal wave
Begging to tear down the door
Memories like bullets
They fired at me from a gun

And then there's my personal favourite at http://alt-web.com/404 Guess why. >: )

Anyhow. It's come to that time again, we're nearing the end of this post. Have I driven you crazy by now with all the random snippets inserted within the blog? Or have you pulled the ultimate IB/Giftee and googled it?

If not, the "secret" is revealed. The elusive paragraphs are the lyrics to my new favourite song, Swim, by my new favourite band, Jack's Mannequin. This song perfectly correlates with my favourite Hunger Games couple, FinnickxAnnie. The moment I first heard this, I was in love. Metaphorically speaking, of course. Because uh, no matter how awesome the lead singer Andrew McMahon may be, he's 28. So uh, no. Just no. O_O

My favourite lines?

I swim to brighter days
Despite the absense of sun
Choking on salt water
I'm not giving in
I'm not giving in
I swim

With that, I bid anybody who bothered to read to the end goodbye. Thanks for reading!

A swimming... grass. O_O

  2. Hey!

(Immediately remembers your email that I flagged, then marked as unread, then made a million mental notes to reply to but still ended up being to preoccupied to answer; don't worry. I will. eventually. D;)

I think I did very interestingly. I didn't find it hard, but I was so stressed during the test that I messed up some very easy questions. D: Oh well. There's always next year, right?

I bet you did terrific! It's MF, what else would I expect? :D
